Volunteers Needed for NIH Penicillin Allergy Study at VCU/MCV -- A research study is being conducted for people between the ages of 18-45 who suffer from both penicillin and seasonal allergies. All research care is provided at no charge, and each study subject is eligible for up to $400 by completing the study. Virginia Adult & Pediatric Allergy & Asthma (VAPA) -- VAPA has been dedicated to finding newer, safer and more effective treatments for the following conditions:
• Pediatric and adult asthma
• Pediatric and adult allergies
• COPD
• Urticaria
• Diabetes with breathing problems (Asthma or COPD)
• Sinusitis
• Chronic bronchitis
All skin testing, pulmonary function tests, lab work, study-related medical exams, and study medication are provided at no cost to qualified participants. Additionally, participants are compensated for time and travel.
