Refill a Prescription
Call the pharmacy and give them the prescription number on your bottle. Some pharmacies have on-line refill service; check with area pharmacies for this service. If you are refilling a prescription obtained by an out-of-town pharmacy or initially filled by an out-ot-town pharmacy, provide the local pharmacy with the name of the hometown pharmacy, phone number and prescription number. If the local pharmacy cannot refill the prescription, a Student Health Center physician may need to write a new prescription.
Pick Up or Delivery
Prescriptions from John Rolfe Ukrop’s are delivered daily to the SHC, Monday–Friday. If you would like a prescription delivered, you must order it from John Rolfe Ukrop’s.
Spider Shuttle service includes routes to some pharmacies. Schedules are available at the Student Activities Desk or for more information, call extension 8505.
Payment
Credit card or check is required to pick up a prescription delivered to the SHC. Cash and Spider Card are not accepted. If you have a prescription co-pay insurance card, take your insurance card to the pharmacy to set up an account. Some pharmacies will also take this information over the phone or the Student Health Center can fax a copy of your insurance card to the pharmacy. Otherwise, you will be charged for the total cost of the prescription and will need to submit your receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement.
